The Gluten free Grocer grew from our own personal need for great tasting gluten free food. As a gluten free family, our food bill began to soar through the roof and we discovered that it can be really tough to be gluten free, whether or not it's by choice.
Most products we tried were terrible, and it was common in our home to hear "you ARE going to eat that bowl of muesli, it cost me $4.50" or "Why is your lunch box still full, and what did you eat today?" .
Aside from the ongoing lunch box challenge, dinner time caused daily stress, the children's birthday parties were tough, and family outings and get togethers were a constant problem. We decided there had to be a better way - we started to make it all ourselves.
Many muffins later we finally nailed the fine art of 'Edible gluten free baking'. This lead to many more ideas and eventually the beginnings of 'The Gluten Free Grocer'.
We have had an overwhelming response so far to our products so with your support we will continue to grow our product range while keeping our prices reasonable.
