The unique French Por Pate is made following the preserve method and tradtion of Pascals grandmother who still lives in a tiny village in the Pyreness mountains. Now you can experience this unique to NZ product kiwi-ised by utlitlising only NZ pork. This real meat preserved product has a long shelf life and does not rquire refrigeration but is best chilled down just prior to eating, about the same time as you chill down your favourite beverage to go with it.. It is perfect to have in the pantry, on the boat, in the bach, or a decent stock in the gargage. As it is a true meat product, you servie it in the jar and cut a wedge or pate (like a pie) to plonkon bread or crackers- Rather than scrape it like a mousse.
How can you guarantee this product is Gluten & Dairy Free?
Pascals Pate is regulary tested by an IANZ accredited laboratory. These tests guarantee our customer these products are allergen free for Gluten & Dairy
How long can I keep it sealed?
Pascals Pate has been commercially sterilized in the jar and can be kept sealed for one year. Always make sure that jars are sealed prior to opening.
How long does it last once open?
Once open product will behave like any meat product you keep in the fridge. we would recommend no more than 3 days once opened.
How do I eat this product?
Straight out of the jar, cut it like a pie (small wedges rather than scraping) and serve cold with a baguette or crackers & condiments
Why is there black marks around the product?
In order to achieve full commerciall sterility, Product in jars is subjected to high temperatures. Residual caramelisation (black marks) are a by producct of this process and totally edible.
